In the course of a replacement, we are looking for our European Headquarters in Duisburg for a 

Service engineer or technician (m/f/d) for HPLC / LC analysers

Your mission at Shimadzu:

  • You are the technical contact person for our European field service employees (m/f/d) of the HPLC / LC (Liquid Chromatography) product group and provide support via telephone, e-mail or remote support
  • In addition, you will design and conduct training courses for new service technicians (m/f/d) in our training centre. This also includes the development of digital training modules for our e-learning platform
  • You will carry out installations, instructions, maintenance and repairs in Europe and Eastern Europe
  • As a link to the Shimadzu Corporation in Japan, you will ensure smooth reporting of the products supported

This is you:

  • You have a degree, technical qualification or training in electrical engineering, mechatronics, measurement and control technology, chemistry, physics, mechanical/process engineering or a comparable scientific qualification
  • Ideally, you have experience in technical service or chemical analysis, particularly in the field of HPLC or other analytical methods
  • You speak English very well and have a good knowledge of German or are willing to learn German
  • You are proficient in MS Office
  • You are characterised by your independent way of working, strong communication skills and confident manner
  • You are highly flexible and willing to travel
  • A class B driving licence rounds off your profile
